COMPOSITION FOR SILICON STEEL SHEET, SILICON STEEL SHEET, IRON CORE, ROTARY MACHINE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILICON STEEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a silicon steel sheet which enables the reduction in core loss. SOLUTION: The composition for a silicon steel sheet consists of the general formula of Fe100-x-y Crx Aly , and in which >=5 atomic % chromium(Cr) and >=5 atomic % aluminum(Al) are added in the range of 10 to 18 atomic % in total. The composition for a silicon steel sheet has a higher electric resistance compared with an iron simple substance on the addition of >=5 atomic % chromium and >=5 atomic % aluminum. When the steel sheet is used, e.g. for a stator of a rotary machine, core loss can be reduced because of the high electric resistance thereof.
