<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device for crime prevention system that can save a recording capacity of a recording medium without deteriorating the reliability of the crime prevention system. SOLUTION: An ordinary state of a photographing object is stored as a reference image (S102). A photographed image and the reference image are compared by corresponding pixels (S108). When by the result of comparison processing it is confirmed that there is a change in the photographed image, a compression rate in the image compression processing is relatively set lower (S112), when it is confirmed that there is no change in the photographed image, the compression ratio in the image compression processing is set relatively higher (S114), and the photographed image is compressed at a set compression rate and the compressed image is recorded on a recording medium (S116).</p> |
