PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ophthalmic composition which has a transparent appearance of preparation even by reducing the amount of a surfactant and raised stability of a compound itself and contains a hydrophobic readily oxidizable substance. SOLUTION: This ophthalmic composition is characterized in that the composition contains a hydrophobic readily oxidizable substance and is prepared by a high-energy emulsification. For example, a vitamin A, a vitamin D, a vitamin E, a vitamin K, diphenhydramine, indomethacin, tacrolimus (FK506), a macrolide- based antibiotic such as rifampicin, foscholine, etc., may be cited as the hydrophobic readily oxidizable substance. For example, high-pressure emulsification, ultrasonic emulsification, high-speed intense type emulsification, etc., may be cited as the high-energy emulsification.
