PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents processing unit that can always validate electronic watermark information imbedded in digital contents by realizing a configuration of automatically extracting contents information independently of the intention of a user in the case of utilizing the digital contents. SOLUTION: A 2nd attachment means 112 attaches an extract program for extracting copyright information to digital contents to which the copyright information (electronic watermark information) is embedded in a way of being automatically activated when the digital contents are utilized. Thus, a side (user side) utilizing the digital contents can automatically start the extract program as soon as the digital contents are utilized so as to automatically extract the copyright information embedded in the digital contents.
