PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disjoining method and a processing method of a cathode ray tube by which cutting process or disjoining process for recycling can be applied to a glass body of a cathode ray tube even if the tube body is made of physically or chemically tempered glass. SOLUTION: Disjoining and sorting process or cutting process is applied to the tempered glass tube 3 of the cathode ray tube 2 by adding a mechanical stress and a heat shock after releasing the hardness of the tempered glass by annealing with a temperature of not less than 500 deg.C which is the temperature applied when tempering the glass.
