PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain bright display, in a reflection type display element. SOLUTION: In the reflection type display element wherein a display medium having optical switching function, such as a liquid crystal, is interposed between a front substrate and a rear substrate (a reflection side substrate), a solid structure whose side face reflects light is provided at a boundary part of each pixel to reduce the loss of light. |
