PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system with which transmission efficiency can be improved compared with a conventional system. SOLUTION: In this communication system, first of all, transmitting side communication equipment 1 transmits a first frame containing transmitting data, and next, receiving side communication equipment 2 calculates the remainder caused by a cyclic redundant code by using the first frame. When the calculated result is different from an expected value, the presence of an error in received data is judged and the received data are divided into a plurality of data blocks. Further, the remainder caused by the cyclic redundant code is calculated for the unit of data block and a second frame containing each of remainders is returned. The transmitting side communication equipment 1 calculates the remainder caused by the cyclic redundant code for the unit of data block by using the first frame and compares the calculated result with the remainder contained in the second frame, and when there is a data block of a different value, a third frame containing such a data block is transmitted. Finally, the receiving side communication equipment 2 corrects the data block having the error.
