PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for a silicone rubber capable of affording the silicone rubber having a high level of ultraviolet resistance even exposed to strong ultraviolet rays. SOLUTION: This composition comprises (A) 100 pts.mass of an organopolysiloxane having the average unit formula Ra SiO(4-a)/2 (wherein, R is a substituted or an unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; and a is 1.95-2.05), (B) 5-100 pts.mass of a silica filler, (C) a curing agent, (D) 10-50 pts. mass of red iron oxide and (E) 10-50 pts.mass of glass.
