An inner film of thermoplastic plastic has the same three dimensional structure in both principal directions forming a periodically repeated pattern of raised and depressed areas. The highest and lowest points of the raised and depressed areas are connected to two or more external films(4,5) forming outer faces. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a hollow chambered composite profile produced from the composite plate; (2) a process for manufacturing a hollow chambered composite profile in which immediately after manufacture of a composite plate the latter is formed into a wave or trapezium shaped profile; (3) a process for production of a composite panel in which a periodically repeated three dimensional structure is formed in the inner film in both principal directions and outer films are applied to both sides of the inner film and joined to the highest and lowest points of the raised and depressed areas.
