Flame atomization apparatus comprises a mixing chamber; an atomizing chamber opening into the mixing chamber; and a burner head (5) placed on a burner support (4) of the mixing chamber. A sliding sleeve (6) is positioned relative to the support between a closed position and an open position. In the open position, a pressure reducing opening (9) in the support is opened. Preferred Features: The sliding sleeve is placed on the burner support from the outside and has a casing (10) surrounding the support. Two stop protrusions (11) and recesses (12) interact on the support and sleeve to form a fixed connection.
