The invention relates to heat-insulating means for pipelines transporting a hot medium and makes it possible to improve the insulation properties of a heat-insulating sleeve. The inventive heat-insulating sleeve for pipes comprises a tubular enclosure and a layer of heat-insulating material arranged on the surface thereon. Said tubular enclosure is embodied in the form of a knitted or woven stocking made of a fibre and/or a thread and/or a metal wire. A similar stretching stocking can be arranged on the outer surface the heat-insulating layer. Both stockings can be protected by sleeves made of a polymeric film.
