<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device of such a structure that the upper device body can be opened and closed with respect to the lower device body, in which it is possible to preclude interference with a sheet discharge tray when the upper device body is opened without requiring prolongation of the overall length and also prevent sheets of paper from falling off from the exhaust tray. SOLUTION: A sheet exhaust tray 5 consists of an upper tray segment 10 in the upper device body 1 and a lower tray segment 9 in the ower device body 2, which are located separately. The upper body 1 is supported by a rotary shaft 14 in such a way as capable of opening and closing with respect to the lower body 2, and separating parts 25 of two sheet stacking surfaces 9a, 10a are positioned near the rotary shaft 14. Accordingly the upper body 1 will not interfere with the upper tray member 10 even if the upper body 1 is opened. At this time of opening, there is no risk that the separating parts 25 of the surfaces 9a, 10a are located remotely from each other, so that the sheets stacked are precluded from risk of falling off.</p> |
