PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for coloring poultry egg yolk or the like, more effective than the conventional one. SOLUTION: This method is such as to color egg yolk, outer skin and/or subcutaneous fat each of poultry, and meat and/or outer skin each of fish or crustaceans by adding at least one kind of carotenoid ester to feed for poultry, fish or crustaceans; wherein the carotenoid ester is represented by the general formula (R is methyl, a 3-16C alkyl, 3-16C alkenyl, or 5-8C cycloalkyl). |
