PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear ratio variable type steering device which can make gear ratio variable in accordance with a car speed. SOLUTION: This steering device comprises a universal joint 120 transmitted with turning force generated from a steering wheel 100 and a gear box 130 internally provided with a rack bar 133 axially moved by turning force transmitted from the universal joint 120. The steering device is provided with a variable gear mechanism part 200 comprising an input shaft 210 transmitted with turning force of the steering wheel 100, an output shaft 220 transmitting turning force to the gear box 130, variable pulleys 211, 221 prepared to freely move in an axial direction in an external peripheral surface of the input/output shaft 210, 220, a belt 230 connecting the variable pulleys 211 to 221, and a motor 240 axially moving the variable pulleys 211, 221 to make gear ratio variable between the variable pulleys. |
