PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool for fitting a number plate, capable of enlarging the allowable range of the fitting angle of the number plate, and adjusting the number plate at a favorable angle even if a fitting portion is different in shape and condition. SOLUTION: A first auxiliary tool body 2 fixed to the car body 8 side and a second auxiliary tool body 4 for fixing the number plate 8 are rotatably combined through an arm part 20, one end side of which is pivotally mounted on the first auxiliary tool body 1 side through a fixture, the other end side being pivotally mounted on the second auxiliary tool body 4 through a fixture.
