PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boost meter of smooth motion of a meter indicator, inexpensive, and simple in use. SOLUTION: Smooth motion of a mechanical indicator is given to the meter in the sampling period by inserting the interpolated data calculated by a microcomputer using a mixed spline interpolation method in the boost pressure data for moving the meter indicator. A racing boost meter which is inexpensive, compact and simple in use is formed of a compact and inexpensive stepping motor and a two-stage reduction gear mechanism.
