PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small article storing box capable of effectively using dead space at the edge part of a pocket. SOLUTION: In this small article storing device 2 on an instrument panel 1, an abutting surface 10a of the edge part 10 of the pocket 6 on which the free end side of a lid 7 can abut is provided with a striker 12 capable of locking a locking device 32. A coin tray 15 is mounted in the dead space of the abutting surface 10a on the abutting surface 10a and on both right and left sides of the striker 12.
