PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly detect a rush driving condition of a driver. SOLUTION: A driving condition detector comprises a traveling speed detecting means (a vehicle speed sensor 3) for detecting the traveling speed of the concerned vehicle, an acceleration detecting means (an acceleration sensor 4) for detecting the acceleration of the concerned vehicle, a discriminated acceleration storage means 1a for storing the acceleration for each speed when a driver performs the regular traveling, an acceleration comparing means 1b for comparing the acceleration detected by the acceleration detecting means with a discriminated acceleration stored in the discriminated acceleration storage means 1a for each vehicle speed, and a driving condition discriminating means 1c for discriminating the driving condition of the driver based on the result of comparison of the acceleration comparing means 1b.
