PURPOSE: A portable communication terminal, a wireless data communication network system, a wireless communication apparatus and a method thereof, and a communication scheme converting method are provided to normally offer a good data communication service to a user regardless of data communication environment. CONSTITUTION: A multi-reception circuit(3) receives the signals in accordance with the first and the second wireless communication schemes, respectively. A multi-transmission circuit(8) transmits the signals in accordance with the first and the second wireless communication schemes, respectively. A signal processing circuit(5) performs the prescribed signal process of the received signals and transmits the signals, respectively. A CPU(7) controls data communication in such a way that the multi-reception circuit(3) and the multi-transmission circuit(8) are automatically controlled to suit the second wireless communication scheme by using the second base station when a future data communication speed. The corresponding future data communication speed is predicted in advance in repose to a pilot signal transmitted from the first base station for the first wireless communication scheme, becomes less than a prescribed threshold value.
