PURPOSE: A method and a system for controlling copy of digital media are provided to prevent the non-allowed access into digital media data sets by hybrid encoding technology and media authorization. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling copy of digital media includes the steps of encoding original media data set with symmetrical algorithm corresponding to original media keys, generating an intermediate key by encoding the original media keys with media ID, encoding the intermediate key to a public key of an available play device, transmitting media authorization including the encoded media data set, encoded intermediate key and the secret key ID of the play device to the play device, searching a real secret key corresponding to the secret key ID, decoding the transmitted intermediate key with the real secret key, obtaining an original media key by decoding the decoded intermediate key with the media authorization, and decoding the transmitted media data set with the obtained media key. |
