PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing apparatus with which a sidewall of a lid box covering an object to be packed is difficult to deform due to a load. SOLUTION: The packing apparatus for packing the object 25 to be packed on a pallet 1 includes a bottom box 11 with an upper surface opened which is to be mounted on the pallet and the lid box 26 with a lower surface for covering the object opened, which is to be mounted on the bottom box. The bottom box has an engaging piece 19 for engaging with and holding a lower end of the sidewall of the lid box.
