PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a footrest device for chairs which is versatile to apply to chairs with legs in different configurations, maintains stability when the feet are put on the footrest, and is user-friendly. SOLUTION: The footrest device for chairs is made up of a leg part 5 with at least more than three radial supporting legs and a shaft 8 put upright in the center and a seat part 6 installed on the leg part 5. An attaching part 2 for a footrest member 1 is attached to the shaft in a manner that the attaching part 2 can move vertically within a predetermined range while an elastic force is applied to the attaching part 2 upward. A plurality of contact legs 4 to the ground are downwardly placed at the positions corresponding to the space between the supporting legs and at the end of a footrest 3 extending to the side from the attaching part. When the footrest member is moved downward against the elastic biasing force, the contact legs to the ground make contact with a floor F. |
