PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain better makeup quality in eyelashes including the spaces therebetween when applying matters with an extension part, curved part, and protruding part of bristles by further improving conventional brushes. SOLUTION: This brush is designed to attach matters to keratinous fibrous tissue, or more specifically saying, to apply mascara to eyelashes, which is composed of and a brush 10 fixed at one end of a stem 13. The stem 13 is next to the brush having an axis Y and a core, at least a part of which is curved. Therefore, the brush is a symmetrical about the mid-plane, with the angle between the axis Y and the core axis at any point on the core being less than 90 degrees. It also has a free end not in line with the stem's axis Y. Moreover, the cross-sectional shape of the brush varies from one end to the other end.
