DISK CARTRIDGE ADAPTER AND DEVICE FOR DRIVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A disk cartridge adapter and a device for driving the same are provided to contain a single 12 cm disk or an 8 cm disk cartridge. CONSTITUTION: A case shape adapter main body has a containing hole(10a) at upper and lower surfaces and selectively contains a 12 cm disk and an 8 cm disk cartridge. A shutter(16) is slidably installed to the adapter body to open and shut the containing hole of the adapter body. A disk cartridge support unit includes a pair of guide rails installed at the adapter body to support the 8 cm disk cartridge. A disk support unit includes a pair of arc guide parts installed in an arc shape in the adapter body to support the 12 cm disk and having bent grooves containing edges of the 8 cm disk cartridge. Shutter opening and shutting units are placed on both arc guide parts to support the 12 cm disk with the arc guide parts and open a shutter of the 8 cm disk cartridge. A cover(18) stops a front aperture of the adapter main body.
