FIELD: chemical treatment of water. SUBSTANCE: composite for treatment and disinfection of water comprising potassium fluoride peroxosolvate has 5,5-dimethylhydantoin additionally in the following ratio of components, wt. -%: potassium fluoride peroxosolvate, 99-99.8; 5,5-dimethyl- -hydantoin, 0.2- 1.0. Invention can be used for removal of excess of active chlorine in treatment of drinking or waste water. Proposed composite provides improvement of quality of treatable water and disinfection of water.
