PURPOSE: A centrifugal compressor is provided to achieve improved efficiency of diffuser by enhancing structure of the leading edge of the diffuser vane, while suppressing surging. CONSTITUTION: A centrifugal compressor(400) comprises a rotation shaft(401); an impeller(402) having a plurality of blades(404) installed to the rotating shaft so as to provide a predetermined rotating force to the fluid being introduced from an external source; a casing constituted by a shroud(406) and a cover plate(407) accommodating the impeller, and which supports the rotating shaft to be rotatable; and a diffuser(405) including a vane having a leading edge which is inclined at a predetermined angle, such that the fluid discharged from the impeller is introduced into the diffuser at the similar incidence angle. The leading edge of the vane is inclined toward the trailing edge within the range of 15 to 20 degrees.
