PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anionic electrodeposition paint suitable for the coating of an aluminum product and giving a coating film with a good appearance, a performance and especially excellent scratch resistance, and provide a method for the electrodeposition coating of the paint. SOLUTION: The anionic electrodeposition paint is composed of (A) a vinyl copolymer produced by the copolymerization of anα,β-ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer, a hydroxy-containingα,β-ethylenic unsaturated monomer and otherα,β-ethylenic unsaturated monomer and having an acid value of 10-150 mgKOH/g of solid component and a hydroxyl value of 20-200 magKOH/g of solid component, (B) an amino resin and (C) fine alumina particles. A method is provided for the coating with the electrodeposition paint.
