PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery and its manufacturing method capable of reducing its occupation area and miniaturization, and provide a portable appliance equipped with the battery. SOLUTION: The battery has an electricity generating cell 9 and a wrapping material 8, wherein the wrapping material 8 encloses the cell 9, and has one adhering end 25 and the other adhering end 26 thereof to form a joint 27 therebetween. The one adhering end 25 covers a first surface 13 of the other adhering end 26 to a second surface 12 thereof, the opposite surface of the first surface 13, extendingly. The one adhering end 25 is adhered to the first and second surface 13, 12 of the other adhering end 26 to form the joint 27.
