PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote display device for gas meter capable of displaying an interruption and/or abnormality alarm remotely with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: This remote display device 10 for gas meter comprises a fixing jig 11 fixed to the gas meter 1, a visual confirmation box 12, and an optical fiber 13 installed between the fixing jig 11 and the visual confirmation box 12, with one end part stored in the fixing jig 11 and the other end part stored in the visual confirmation box 12. The fixing jig 11 is equipped with a light guide window 11c positioned to be lined up with a display window 6, for guiding light for flashing and/or lighting of a display means to the first end face 13a at one end part of the optical fiber 13. The visual confirmation box 12 is equipped with a visual confirmation window 12c for emitting light for flashing and/or lighting of the display means transmitted through the optical fiber 13, from the second end face 13b at the other end part of the optical fiber 13 to the outside.
