PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent backing caused by water pressure and earth pressure when installing a jacking pipe. SOLUTION: This backing preventing method jacks and buries the jacking pipe while successively repeating a first process of contracting only a lower part of an even number of vertically and bilaterally symmetrically arranged root push jacks when completing jacking execution work equivalent to one piece, arranging a divided pipe B in a lower part, allowing the root push jacks of the lower part to abut to a rear end surface, then, contracting the root push jacks of an upper part, arranging a divided pipe A in the upper part to be integrally connected to the divided pipe arranged in the lower part, and jacking and burying the jacking pipe, and a second process of contracting and returning only a left part of the root push jacks, arranging a divided pipe D in a rear left part of the front jacking pipe, allowing the root push jacks of the left part to abut to the rear end surface, then, contracting the root push jacks of the right part, arranging a divided pipe C in a rear right part of the front jacking pipe to be integrally connected to the divided pipe arranged in the left part, and jacking and burying the jacking pipe.
