PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle sideway image generation device capable of relaxing a sense of incongruity felt by a driver who makes visual recognition of images displayed on a monitor by restraining the difference between an image captured by an image-pickup part protruded toward the front part of the vehicle with the optical axis inclined and the scenery that the driver visually recognizes from the vehicle window. SOLUTION: When displaying an image on the monitor 22 based upon image data regarding images on both left and right sides of the vehicle taken by an image-pickup device 21, this image generation device is provided with an image conversion table 15 which converts the display location of the pixel data corresponding to each pixel of the monitor 22, and an image converter 14 which converts the display location of pixel data by referring to the image conversion table 15 and generates display data.
