PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsional damper capable of expanding a rubber hardness range and securing high slip torque. SOLUTION: This torsional damper is composed of a vulcanized ethylene-alkyl acrylate copolymer containing a carboxy group that has a Mooney viscosity ML1+4 (100 deg.C) of 25 or above. The torsional damper the raw material of which can be fabricated without adding an internally added releasing agent since the copolymer having a high Mooney viscosity is used, can secure sufficient slip torque because no releasing agent is added internally.
