PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display driver, a display unit and an electronic equipment in which a still picture and animation are mixed on a scanning line and are display driven. SOLUTION: An X driver IC 28 includes at least a display data RAM 24 which stores still picture data equivalent to one frame and a line memory 26 which stores animation data equivalent to one scanning line. A selector circuit 64 selects and outputs only either one of the still picture data equivalent to one scanning line in a horizontal direction read from the RAM 24 or the animation data equivalent to one scanning line read from the memory 26 for every column position based on image discrimination data as the mixed data of the still picture and the animation. The mixed data are latched by an output latch circuit 66 and a liquid crystal panel is display driven by a liquid crystal driving circuit 68.
