PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate in type heat exchanger, having a fin structure of high strength with respect to external load and a fin structure of high strength with respect to thermal stress. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger comprises a channel layer, having fins 13 between a plurality of plates 12, and high-temperature fluid layers 10, in which a high-temperature fluid flows and low-temperature fluid layers 11 in which a low-temperature fluid flows, alternately laminated. In this case, when a fin width direction is defined as (X), a fluid flowing direction is (Y) and a channel laminating direction is (Z), an upper bottom surface 13a formed in a ruggedness in a substantially trapezoidal shape, in the fin width direction is closely contacted with the plates 12, and the rugged phase of the fins 13 at the position where the fluid flowing direction becomes identical is brought to coincident with the channel laminating direction.
