<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multitasking lock device for vehicular vertically opening and closing door capable of giving a function other than the blocking of a striker opening to a lid body in a lock device for vehicular vertically opening and closing door comprising a vertically opening and closing vehicular door pivotally fixed to a vehicle body by vehicle lateral pivotal shafts, a striker fixed to the deep part of the opening formed in the vehicle body, and a lock mechanism provided on the vehicle door and protruded to and retreated from the opening to hold and release the striker. SOLUTION: The direction of the pivotal shaft of the lid body for opening and closing the striker opening is changed from the vehicle lateral direction to the vehicle longitudinal direction to give not only the opening and closing function of the opening but also the anti-sway movement function of the vehicle door to the lid body. A cushion member is preferably provided corresponding to the lid body.</p> |
