The invention concerns a ship using natural elements as driving force such as the force of wind or of waves, wherein the drive element consists of several floaters (3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) articulated to one another, and can pull the passenger compartment (1) reserved for the crew. The distribution of the floaters enable to distribute the constraints generated by the action of the wind, usually absorbed by a rigid mechanical structure, thereby enhancing performance. It also enables to transform into a drive component the mechanical effect of the waves. Finally, it enables to provide for the passenger compartment (1) a standard displacement at the water surface, but also a displacement below and above said surface.
