The invention concerns a method for controlling a unit operating a brake circuit antilock device comprising a pneumatic servomotor actuating a master cylinder of the type wherein the antilock device includes at least a first driven solenoid valve, interposed between the master cylinder and a hydraulic braking member and a second solenoid valve, interposed between the hydraulic member and a hydraulic accumulator. The invention is characterised in that it comprises a step (ISA) called reduced-speed servomotor inhibition whereby, when the information (V) representing the wheel speed is less than a predetermined threshold speed (V>s1<), the operating unit controls the partial closure of the first solenoid valve independently of the pedal to reduce the hydraulic fluid flow rate in the master cylinder, and to thereby reduce the air flow rate in the servomotor, so as to prevent it from emitting pneumatic noises.
