The invention relates to an electrical multilayer component comprising a layer stack (1) consisting of dielectric layers (2), which are arranged one above the other and which contain a ceramic material, and of electrically conductive electrode layers (3) that are arranged between said dielectric layers. According to the invention, at least one electrode layer (3) contains a body (4) that is covered by a protective layer (5), the body (4), in turn, contains a metal, and the protective layer (5) contains a protective material that slows the oxidation of metal. The invention also relates to a method for producing a component of the aforementioned type during which the sintering can be carried out at high temperatures. The invention enables the production of ceramic multilayer components while using inexpensive electrodes and simplified processes. |
