SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING ATTENDANCE OF CYBER UNIVERSITY

PURPOSE: A system and method for managing an attendance of a cyber university is provided to manage an attendance with accuracy using fingerprint information of a student. CONSTITUTION: In an attendance managing system for authenticating user information being received from a web server(52) and managing an attendance state of each user in a cyber university including the web server(52) and a database(60) for receiving and storing lecture information, user information, and attendance information and score information according to users from the web server(52) and for supplying a lecture wanted by the user, a fingerprint reading unit(68) reads fingerprint information of a user inputted in accordance with an ID of the web server(52) and a fingerprint input request. A fingerprint authenticating unit(70) compares a user fingerprint stored in the database(60) with the user fingerprint read in the fingerprint reading unit(68) by referring to the user' ID inputted in accordance with a request of the web server(52). An attendance checking unit(72) stores an attendance state of the user in the database(60) according as the user performs a log-in process or not to the cyber university for taking a lecture requested by the user.
