A showerhead 200 which may be utilized as a source of illumination includes a source of illumination (218) which is efficiently coupled to individual ones of a plurality of water sprays (262). In an exemplary embodiment, a pluralit y of fiber-optic members (230) transmit light from one or more individual ligh t sources (218) to corresponding ones of a plurality of individual shower spra ys or nozzles (262). Light from the source of illumination (218) is thus transferred to and is transmitted through the plurality of individual water sprays (262).
