he Integrated Unit for the Management of Volatile Organic Solvents aims at the reduction of the organic load of industrial flue gases that contain volatile organic solvents with simultaneous integrated management of mass and energy. The management of the mass involves cooling of the flue gases for liquefaction of the organic solvents contained in them through the cooling unit (2). In the sequel, the mixture of liquefied solvents is separated in one or several distillation columns (4,5) towardsfresh solvents which are re-used in the production process or is used as taken from the collection container (3) in secondary production uses (washouts of ink containers, etc,). The energy management consists of the sue of heat exchangers (1, 6) forexploiting the thermal capacity of both the warm stream of the flue gases (stream I) for heating other units or internal spaces with fresh air (stream III) as well as of the cold stream, free of organic solvents (stream IV) for cooling other units or internal spaces with fresh air (stream VI). |
