PURPOSE: A tension shadow mask-frame assembly of a cathode ray tube for preventing vibration is provided to prevent effectively vibration without deformation of a shadow mask or lowering of picture quality. CONSTITUTION: A frame(10) is formed with a couple of long side portions(11) and a couple of short side portions(12). The frame(10) is coupled with an inner wall of a panel. A shadow mask(50) has an aperture area(51) and a non-aperture area(52). End portions of each long side portion of the shadow mask(50) are fixed to an upper end portion of an L-shaped long side portion(11) of the frame(10). A plurality of electron beam passing holes is formed on the aperture area(51). The electron beam passing holes are not formed on the non-aperture area(52). A groove(53) is formed on the non-aperture area(52). A damper spring member(30) includes a fixing portion(31) fixed to the short side couple(12), an extension portion(32), and a plurality of anti-vibration portions contacted with the non-aperture area(52) of the shadow mask(50).
