PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that with a conventional method which purifies an exhaust gas of a diesel vehicle by having it pass through water or an alkaline solution, the liquid should be replenished during use since the water is evaporated by the high temperature exhaust gas, that it is troublesome to replenish the liquid with a truck mixer agitator and that the liquid for replenishment should be ready all the time. SOLUTION: Fig. 1 shows a conventional exhaust emission control device, and an example which the present invention is applied to this will be described. An exhaust gas from a diesel vehicle is guided from an introduction port 5 through a hose 8 to a purifying liquid 9 in a tank 1. As the present invention removes black smoke in the exhaust gas using glycerin, propylene glycol solution or the like with high boiling point as the purifying liquid, the liquid is not exhausted even after having passed the high-temperature exhaust gas, and it is not necessary to replenish the liquid during use. Thus, there is no need to prepare the replenishment liquid all the time.
