<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction measuring device and a direction measuring method capable of measuring accurately the hole axis direction of a boring hole, to provide a direction measuring device and a direction measuring method applicable also for excavation of a deep boring hole without damaging excavation workability when integrated into an excavator and used, and to measure accurately the position of a measuring spot in the boring hole. SOLUTION: This direction measuring device is constituted by integrating an inclined plane formation means for forming an inclined plane inclined at a tilt angle of the hole axis of the boring hole at the measuring spot, a tilt angle measuring means installed on the inclined plane for measuring the tilt angle, a horizontal plane formation means for forming a horizontal plane, and an azimuth measuring means installed on the horizontal plane for measuring the azimuth of the hole axis. In addition, an analog/digital converter for converting measurement data into digital data, a memory for memorizing the measurement data, a microprocessor for controlling the measuring device, a thermometer, and a power supply battery are integrated in a body.</p> |
