PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection arm capable of increasing safety. SOLUTION: A controller (control part) controls so that a first boom section 31 extends upward from the deck of a bridge beam inspection vehicle 22 in the course of development, a second boom section 32 extends generally horizontal from the tip of the first boom section 31, a third boom section 33 is positioned generally on the extension of the second boom section 32, a fourth boom section 34 is folded back from the tip of the third boom section 33 and positioned generally parallel with the third boom section 33, and the third boom section 33 and the fourth boom section 34 are developed in a straight line so that the moving loci of the rotating shaft A of the fourth boom section 34 and a fifth boom section 35 come vertically below the rotating shaft B of the second boom section 32 and the third boom section 33 in the state of the fifth boom section 35 extending from the tip of the fourth boom section 34 generally vertically downward.
