PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microplate holding apparatus for biochemical and molecular-biological culture and various reaction experiments by the stirring generated by a physicochemical thermostatic shaking apparatus. SOLUTION: In the microplate holding apparatus, inclined stoppers for a microplate are provided to both side edges of an attaching unit having the microplate arranged thereto to constitute the attaching unit for holding the microplate so as to fix one side thereof while making the other end thereof freely openable, closable and detachable by a spring means, and the stirring/ shaking of a specimen injected and dropped in a large number of wells is horizontally held for a long time.
