PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for printing all possible colors, which have a size being easily measured with an apparatus for converting colors to a standard color coordinate and contain all replacements of original color ink used for producing processed colors. SOLUTION: Each color printed in a color region of an output device is discriminated and correlated with an independent color coordinate system. Original color composition, necessary for reproducing reference colors in the color region of the output device, is shown. The degree that a source color deviates outside of the color region is determined. The nearest color among from the colors in the color region is specified through an interpolation method and the most adjacent color. Further, changes in the size of the color region can be predicted, on the basis of an operating method of an image related to the work flow. In order to determine the composition of colors in the color region, the source color can be correlated to a designated color region, after conversion. By extending this function, a method is obtained which determines the form and the degree of conversion of a work flow in a preceding process, necessary for maintaining the source color of the output device or eliminating it from a color set.
