PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent overlapping carrying, drop failure of overlapped carried coins, or a problem of coin ascending along a carrier guide member on an undesirable side generated in a process wherein coins are held between pins projectingly provided in a chain at a prescribed pitch and are carried upward. SOLUTION: This coin carrier having a coin carrying means with an upward carrier route 17a taking out the coin C one by one from a coin hopper 1 and carrying the coin C upward has the coin holding pins 22 projectingly provided in the front face of the coin carrying means at the prescribed pitch along a carrying direction, and holds the coin C one by one between two adjacent pins 22 and carries the coin C upward. A support part provided near the upward carrier route 17a for holding the coin C inside the coin hopper 1 one by one between the pins 22 and carrying the coin C upward supports elastic means 41 for contacting with one of the plurality of coins C held between the pins 22 to drop the overlapped carried coin C.
