1,251,417. Transistor oscillators. ITT INDUSTRIES Inc. 7 Feb., 1969 [9 Feb., 1968], No. 6720/69. Heading H3T. A transistor oscillator includes a transistor with a D.C. path formed by the inductor L of a resonant circuit between its collector and base, a tap on one element of the resonant circuit being taken to a reference potential. The tap on inductor L is taken to earth by capacitor C, giving a low A.C. impedance path at oscillator frequency. In Fig. 2 (not shown) the inductance tap determines the inductance in the resonant circuit whilst also being tied to earth via a capacitor and in Fig. 3 (not shown), a tapped capacitor, rather than inductor, is used. |
