PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an editing device which can perform editing for specifying a section skip for a block data row very easily at a high speed. SOLUTION: When the editing for providing a skip period for an information recording medium where at least one or more time-recording position comparison table, consisting of one or more piece of comparison data and time correction data by fixed time intervals is recorded in a recording area different from a recording area of block data is performed, a read time-recording position comparison table is divided, in correspondence with the indicated skip period and comparison data indicating the block data in the indicated skip period are deleted; and 2nd time correction data are computed, in correspondence with to the skip period and combined with comparison data following the deleted comparison data to generate a new time-recording position comparison table, which is written back to the recording medium, together with the time- recording position comparison table before the deleted data in terms of time.
